Drug Charges

defending tarrant county drug/narcotics charges

Tarrant County Drug Crime Attorney

The Law Office of Sherry R Armstrong handles all types of drug offenses, from misdemeanors to felonies. An aggressive approach is essential to review every single piece of evidence, the traffic stop, search of a vehicle or person, statements from informants, and search warrants to determine whether there were any constitutional violations which require suppression of the evidence.

Attorney Armstrong has almost two decades of experience as a former Narcotics Unit prosecutor and as a criminal defense attorney representing citizens accused. She is familiar with the tactics and procedures used by local law enforcement agencies including the police department narcotics unit, Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Division including the Multi-agency Drug Task force, DEA, ATF, FBI, and ICE. She has experience in handling Possession and Delivery of Marijuana/THC, Possession and Delivery of Controlled Substances (Meth, Cocaine, Heroin, Ecstasy), and prescription medication offenses (OxyContin, Oxycodone, Xanax, Vicodin, Adderall, Codeine, Valium).

Attorney Armstrong will work to identify potential vulnerabilities in the government’s evidence while providing personalized representation, honest case evaluation and advice, and aggressive advocacy to achieve the best outcome possible. Additionally, she will explore alternative options such as eligibility for the Deferred Prosecution Program, First Offender Drug Course, or work with the client to identify ways to develop mitigation evidence to advocate for dismissal of case, reduction of charges, or to minimize the punishment or probationary requirements.

TXDOEP CLASS

Texas Drug offender Education Program (TXDOEP)  and Substance Abuse Evaluation (SAE) is a common probation condition or as part of a defense mitigation packet.
